KneedIT Knee Brace KneedIT Knee Brace

Reviews

I love this little band. It is easy to use, won't move once in place and is not bulky. I have not taken anything for inflammation since I got it.

I have suffered on and off from knee pain when running for a few years now. It seems to act up most when training for marathons. I have tried a few different knee straps to treat the problem - ChoPat, Mueller, etc. This one is the worst. I liked the idea of the V-shaped rubberized brace that can help your knee track more accurately. The problem with this brace is that the strap has no elastic. It is single piece of velcro and has no stretch. Thus it is impossible to put it on correctly. You have to make it either too tight or too loose

The product works well. Having had six surgeries on my two knees, the product keeps my knees supported while i walk long distances or jog. Basically very comfortable to wear as well.

Wonderful product - proforms as advestized. Knee pain and disconfort associated with workouts no longer exists. Very helpful.

I'm a ballroom dancer and almost 70 years old. I've had 5 scope surgeries, but none sucsessful. I've tried all kinds of knee bands, but not much help. A friend showed me what she uses and I liked the looks of it, so I ordered one. It seems to help to a point, but if I over-do it, the pain returns. Worth the money for the relief I get.

Gamma Sportline Head Band Gamma Sportline Head Band

Reviews

I bought this headband because I practice Bikram (or hot-style) yoga daily. I have very thick hair and I was looking for a headband that was very TIGHT as well as THICK. This head does the trick minimally; meaning, it has some flaws if you have thick wavy hair like me! It doesn't soak up sweat very well. My hair is very wet once I'm done with yoga. I compare this headband to the one I want to replace. The difference is the one I had previously is thick, tight and WIDE. If this headband were much wider, it would be perfect! But, not everyone has thick wavy hair like me, so it will do the trick. Trust me!

These wristbands are absorbant, soft, and strong. I use them above my glove to keep it dry to better grip the racquet and these wristbands are absorbant and do a great job. The wristband has to be thick too, as I use it cushion my wrist from the tether attached to the racquet. I just toss them in the washing machine and these are holding up great.

I didn't realize how helpful wristbands were until I tried these. I wear them when I work out and simply wipe away any sweat. My husband uses them when working outside and, he too, appreciates their fullness and absorbtion. I've washed & dried them with regular laundry and they come out perfect everytime!

These are great for working out and if you need to spend a couple extra dollars to get the free shipping!

I use one wristband under my Garmin Forerunner 305. Makes the Garmin fit better and not bounce around. After a run, I wash the wristband with my regular laundry. Comes out looking brand new.

Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun

Reviews

well my friends said i was throwing in the upper 90's so i got this radar gun and i topped out at 104mph i guess thats pretty good

could not pick up a car heading straigh on,,, on a small plane from 200' or a baseball,,, sent the unit in to be fixed,, bot billed for fixing it,,, still doesn't work,,,, do not buy this product. I ended up using a hotwheels radar gun for $20...

Works great on baseballs & softballs. I used the digital speedometer in my car as a test of the gun's accuracy. The gun and my car always agreed to within 1 MPH. The case appears to be very durable - the front end of the gun is rubber armored. I am perfectly satisfied. Be sure to read the instructions to avoid erroneous readings.

Recently i purchased a Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun to test out it's accuracy. I have been in law enforcement since 1985 & i am certified in the use of radar.I read several reviews from customers on how they were dissatisfied beacause their radar gun did not work properly for one reason or another. My partners patrol car has a MPH radar & i decided to see just how accurate a Bushnell hand radar compared with it.I have 2 different speed tuning forks to test my MPH with & tested both of them on the Bushnell as well. The Bushnell tested accurate & gave the correct reading on both tuning forks i tested with.i then took it on the road & compared it against my partners MPH radar system against oncoming traffic & it worked as well matching vehicle speed with my MPH as well. Although i used it on traffic,it should work on any moving object such as baseball, softball, tennis balls etc.Just remember that these objects are of course much smaller than a vehicle & you must be in direct line of sight to the object to get a true & accurate reading of speed.I would reccomend this particular unit to anyone interested in purchasing one. Having read the reviews, and realizing that they were somewhat mixed, I took a chance on this gun for my kid. The price was irresistible. After about 6 weeks, we're completely satisfied. You do need to read the instructions...mainly about the need to measure the ball as it's coming towards you. If you measure from the side, you will get the wrong (low) reading. I hold the gun in one hand and catch my son's pitches with the other. Works great...and extremely accurate. Or should I say that it's extremely CONSISTENT? Through exercise, practice and work on mechanics, my (just turned 12 year old) son has increased his measured velocity from around 50MPH to 54MPH, in one mile per hour increments as you'd expect. The gun rarely misses a reading (make sure you hold the trigger down for the whole pitch) and the resulting number is always close to what I would predict from observation. (In other words, the change up really does clock in about 5MPH slower than the fast ball. And, yes, when the fastball's popping, the gun's confirming the higher speeds.) Overall, I'm very satisfied. We only use the gun once every 6 or so practices, but at almost every one of those sessions, my son has hit a new personal best. That's super encouraging and motivating for both of us! I have read that the gun may read low vs. Juggs. Since we're not comparing to any "goal" number or any other gun, that doesn't really matter too much to us. The idea here isn't to end up with a big number we can brag about...it's to improve. In that respect the gun is well worth the $75 or so we paid for it!!!

Pro Band Sports BandIT Arm Band, Black/White Pro Band Sports BandIT Arm Band, Black/White

Reviews

...and with it tendonitis. This helps a great deal. Pain is still there, but greatly diminished when I wear this. It is definitely worth the extra money when compared to the velcro bands you can pick up at the random sporting store.

Hoping to get rid of tennis elbow pain, I read quite a few reviews of competing products on Amazon. Due to large number of positive reviews versus other products that do the same thing, I settled on this one. Although I have not worn it long enough yet to experience relief of the inflammation of tennis elbow (couple weeks now), I can say this. Obviously you need to wear it tight enough to restrict interaction of the forearm muscle with the tendon connected to the elbow bone. But in so doing, it does cut off circulation even though it appears that, as a two part brace, it might not do so, where the straps "only" are in contact with the arm. When you cinch it down adequately, the straps do compress the forearm flesh and muscle, cutting off circulation, contrary to their marketing claims. So I have had to loosen it up a bit, but when I make a fist and move my hand around to activate the muscle interaction with the tendon, I can tell that it is not restraining muscle activity enough to appear to relieve stress on the tendon. I am judging this by feeling the muscle action between the brace, and the tendon and I can feel it flexing more than it does when I have it tighter and properly restrained. But the most uncomfortable thing about this product, is that the edges of the velcro strap are very thin and thus a bit sharp along the outer edges, beyond the soft part of the velcro itself, where the strap has been "heat cut" to prevent unraveling and fraying. Not to the point that they would literally cut you, but certainly uncomfortable over several hours of use. So the real weak point in this product is the velcro strap. If they could figure out a way to get rid of the abrupt and relatively sharp edge, it would enhance comfort in wearing over extended periods.

I played tennis in school (until 1974) then started fishing a lot and I work on a computer. All of those activities caused pain in my elbow that got increasingly more debilitating over the years. Anybody that ever had a real bad episode of tennis elbow knows it can bring tears to your eyes. So I read the reviews here and bought a bandit even though I was skeptical. Well it works. It really works or I wouldn't be wasting my once limited computer time by typing here. At first it was uncomfortable, difficult to put on in just the right position. But after 6 months I just don't touch my mouse unless my BandIt is on my arm. And I frequently find I am still wearing it when I don't need it, I just forget it's there. It's been 6 months and I've had no arm pain. And I know from experience that I have pushed well beyond my limits. If I did not have this aid I would be having lots of pain, taking lots of Aleve.

I got this band for tennis because it's pretty popular in the tennis community. My only complaint is that when it's on too tight, it feels like it's cutting off my circulation (I have small arms). When I loosen the band, it seems to slide when I sweat or hit overheads. On the plus side, it's easy to adjust.

I am not usually a sucker for advertising claims and little "problem solvers," but I bought a couple of these in desperation, and man am I glad I did! I was in significant pain and discomfort in both my arms, elbow to wrist, from repetitive strain. I couldn't wait to get these through Amazon (free shipping, but a wait of ~2 weeks), so I hunted them down locally yesterday morning. I wore them all day yesterday and half the day today. This clam-shell style is much more comfortable than the style of brace that wraps all the way around the arm, because it allows blood to circulate. The other type of brace turns my hands dusky - no blood flow! Already this afternoon I am in so much less discomfort, and am able to do things like open jars and hold heavy items in a pincer-type grasp (things I couldn't do yesterday morning). No joke. I am keeping these and will not only use them for my recovery from tendonitis, but to prevent future flare-ups. They seem to have the added benefit of bio-feedback: you can feel the tension between your body and the brace when you are over-exerting your upper arm muscles. It helps give me an idea of things I do during my normal day that are just "too much." They are well-built, sturdy, and the velcro appears like it will last, and like if it doesn't it'd be easily replaced by someone like me who can sew/craft. The black foam pads that sit on the arm are very soft and forgiving, but not too cushy - it keeps the white hard plastic off your body. They come with a money-back guarantee, so it's risk-free to give them a shot. Some minor pitfalls: silly color/logo. It's also kind of cute: "Band-it?" Difficult to pull sleeves down or up over item (best to put under clothes, before you put shirt on). I do get a tiny bit sweaty under the black foam pads. Superior product.

Gamma X-2 Tennis Stringing Machine Gamma X-2 Tennis Stringing Machine

Reviews

I've had this machine for about 2-3 years now, and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. I've probably done about 30 string jobs, mostly for myself. With the 2-point mounting system, it's impossible to string some racquets due to their unusual frames, but most "normal" racquets should work fine. It's not as fast as a more substantial machine, but it gets the job done, and as far as I can tell, it does a good job. It's hard to know for sure without comparing it directly against another type of machine, with the same racquet, string, tension, etc. I'll keep using mine until I have a good reason not to, and I would highly recommend it to anyone stringing mostly for themselves.

Bought it for my husband who strung two raquets on it so far. Takes a while because it is a completely manual process (nothing mechanized), but works as expected. Very compact and easy to store. Clamps are hard to un-clamp. Several strings included. Excellent value.

The stringer is everything you could want for a basic machine. Once you become accustomed to the weighted tension puller it's easy to work with. The clamps have no issue with slippage, but BE CAREFUL for the razor sharp edges on the back of the handles. I took a chunk of flesh out of the side of my finger befor I figured out that the molded plastic was razor sharp. I wrapped mine with rubber tape and not only find them easier to work with, but no longer a threat to slice my fingers.

I've played tennis for over 30 years but never strung a racquet. I wanted to begin doing my own string for economics, for time savings, for less hassle. I purchased the bargain basement, X-2 stringing machine, figuring I only had to string 8 or 9 racquets before it paid for itself. At that time, I could upgrade to a better machine and I'd be that much smarter about the ins and outs of stringing machines. The Gamma X-2 is a nice package: complete tools for stringing, a stringing guide, and a collection of Gamma strings to begin working with. The machine's manual WAS worthless but there was a stringing guide with the package of Gamma strings. This provided most of the stringing information I needed to complete a job. I've learned a lot about stringing after completing one job. The floating clamps are not the best. My fingers are ripped up with cuts; I don't exactly know why except it has to do with unclamping tight strings. It takes a lot of effort to unclamp the strings and not slice your fingers up at the same time. The other design flaw I see is the drop weight and its alignment with the racquet string. The alignment is not always perpendicular to the winding head so, especially under tension, the string wants to wander and disappear into cracks. In summary, I'm happy with the purchase and glad to be stringing my own and friends' racquets. If my racquets are strung poorly, I have no one to blame but myself.

The floating clamps need some improvement. The customer service of the midwest amazon rep is super.

Average Rating:

Gamma Speed Trac Gamma Speed Trac

Reviews

I've used this radar for my children ice hockey & ringette training. it is accurate enough and gives immediate feedback how fast they really hits the puck or ring (in ringette. Easy to use, they can do it by themselves, just have to look the distance so that radar does not take the speed of the stick.

This is a fun and easy way to get very inaccurate measures of peoples throwing skills. I do not recomend this product to anyone who want to use it in ex projectwork. You can get the same result if you gently roll the ball towards the radar as if you throw it with all your force. I only recomend this product for fun and laughs.

I am a 13 year old baseball pitcher.(sorry, I know that this is a kids review) I got SpeedTrac last Christmas. It seems to be very accurate and a good motivater! On Christmas day, I was throwing 59 mph. I worked hard to get my speed up with SpeedTrac, and now I can throw 75! It is also good to measure the difference between your fastball and changeup. This is an affordable gun. It hardly ever give me weird reading. I highly suggest this item! PS design flaw: setting it on the ground and not using your hands is a great idea, but sometimes it gets in the way of your pitch LOL! I have had to send it to get repaired twice, once with a 53 mph changeup and once with a 69 mph fastball.

i use this radar "gun" to see how fast my shot is in lacrosse..it works perfectly..there is no use in buying one over 200 dollers...i mean, its a radar gun...it is worth your money :]
