Wii Prince Tennis Racquet Wii Prince Tennis Racquet

I purchased a pair of Prince Tennis Rackets...A friend and I were playing Wii Tennis and the racket head snapped off within the 1st 30 minutes of use. We put the other one away and went on to use the Wii rackets that come with the sport pack. Since them I have ordered tow of the Wii motes. The only problem with this is that the Wii motes do not fit in any other tennis rackets except for the Prince rackets so if you are looking for a true tennis experience this is not for you. A friwedn took out the other Prince Racket and hooked it all up and played for about 15 minutes before the racket head snapped off of that one. Do not waste your money...These are horrible

I just received my Prince Tennis Racquet and I love it! I enjoy playing tennis on Wii Sports and Racquet Sports and had previously purchased the Nerf accessories. Unfortunately, the Nerf accessories along with another bundle kit (included golf club, baseball bat, & racecar wheel) proved to be pretty flimsy. After playing just a few sets I immediately noticed a difference and improvement in game accuracy and proficiency. I will admit, I am about 5'3 or 5'4 so I didn't experience problems with ceiling issues encountered by other users. The only caveat is I found in attempting to remove the Wiimote there was a bit of difficulty. Therefore, I decided against doing so and will leave that Wiimote in the racquet and use my other Wiimote for other games. I chose this option because I didn't want to damage the Wiimote or the racquet. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this racket for my husband, who loves to play Wii tennis, to go along with Virtua Tennis, the game featuring tennis pros. He only used it a handful of times because the controller would slip and not stay put. He tried to velcro or rubber band it into place, but it wouldn't keep it tight enough in place, so he stopped using it and sold it at a garage sale. (Kinda felt guilty about that, LOL.) Had it kept the controller in place, it would have been awesome, because the movement was very natural. Try again, Prince!

This racquet is awesome. I have two of them and both of mine hold the Wii remote so securely that it's tough to get them out! They snap in tightly. The weight isn't quite that of a real racquet but it does feel similar and provides the same feel of leverage. The other reviewer mentioned that the Wii remote is suppose to be swung level so your racquet would be facing the ceiling. This isn't true although I can see how one could think this based on one of the loading screen instructions in Grand Slam Tennis on how to swing. It's simply not the case based on how the Wii remote is suppose to be held. Swinging the Wii remote how the other reviewer stated would be extremely uncomfortable for the wrist. Instead, swinging the Wii remote in the game should be natural and not facing up based on the way you have to have your finger on the B button and thumb on the A button. I play Grand Slam Tennis all the time and you do not have to swing the Wii remote level. Based on a natural swing with the Wii remote the racquet would always be facing front and back.

I enjoy playing Tennis on my Wii; I thought having an actual tennis racket would enhance the experience. The design of this racquet, with the Wii remote inside the handle seemed like just the ticket. Using the racquet certainly did enhance the playing experience, however the plastic handle of the racquet was anything but comfortable. After playing for a short period of time it was obvious that any long term use of this racquet was out of the question. The other annoying aspect of the design is that it blocks communication from the wii remote.

Their only function would be to physically represent the relationship between the controller and the "tool". For example, to make clear that the controller front is the tennis racket face. You learn this in a second and will never more need these - and will never more bother mount them on the controller. Silly.

It adds realism to an extend when playing the sports on the Wii. They could be bigger, but overall They are great for adding more depth to your game play! I haven't broken any parts, and trust me they've slipped from my hands many times. I fear more for my TV than anything! Great product!

Too hard to insert and remove the wiimote. Golf club head points in wrong direction. Bat and racket are fun to use, however both block the front of the wiimote, so you can't select from wii menu once wiimote is inserted. For me - not worth the trouble.

The baseball attachment flew off during my swing and cracked my Tv. Yes, it did click when I put it back on after pictching an inning. The attachment is not broken and it did click back on after it "flew" off. Watch it!!! You could break your television.

These add-ons are a cool idea, but honestly not worth the trouble. You have to take off of the sleeve, thread the wrist strap..etc. etc. I find myself feeling like it isn't worth the trouble. I just want to play the game already!!!!

MY SON-IN-LAW THOUGHT I WOULD GET SOME RELIEF WITH THESE UNITS, HOWEVER THEY ONLY ADDED ANOTHER PAIN THAT I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED BEFORE, AND THAT'S PATELLA PAIN. I WOULD GUESS ONLY ANOTHER OPERATION WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM.....

We both have the band it arm band for tennis elbow etc. and it works good. So I thought I would bet this for my wife who has knee problems. She says it does very good and less cumbersome than what she had before. Shipping was relatively fast and seller had good communication and price. Thanks

My significant other did not like the way this feels at all. Although all of our friends wear these it just wasn't for him. The strap had nothing to do with the feel. He just didn't like the way it sat under his knee. Just be careful when purchasing this product. If your ok with the placement of the support then I would suggest buying it. If you are not comfortable with the idea then do not even bother.

I have suffered on and off from knee pain when running for a few years now. It seems to act up most when training for marathons. I have tried a few different knee straps to treat the problem - ChoPat, Mueller, etc. This one is the worst. I liked the idea of the V-shaped rubberized brace that can help your knee track more accurately. The problem with this brace is that the strap has no elastic. It is single piece of velcro and has no stretch. Thus it is impossible to put it on correctly. You have to make it either too tight or too loose

I don't understand where the Kneed-it, was supposed to hold. It didn't hold my knee straight at all and didn't help me with the pressure. I felt like this didn't help me at all, and I had to return it.

I love this little band. It is easy to use, won't move once in place and is not bulky. I have not taken anything for inflammation since I got it.

The product works well. Having had six surgeries on my two knees, the product keeps my knees supported while i walk long distances or jog. Basically very comfortable to wear as well.

Wonderful product - proforms as advestized. Knee pain and disconfort associated with workouts no longer exists. Very helpful.

I'm a ballroom dancer and almost 70 years old. I've had 5 scope surgeries, but none sucsessful. I've tried all kinds of knee bands, but not much help. A friend showed me what she uses and I liked the looks of it, so I ordered one. It seems to help to a point, but if I over-do it, the pain returns. Worth the money for the relief I get.

Unique Air Cell Tennis Elbow Brace Unique Air Cell Tennis Elbow Brace

I purchased this as a second option to deal with my tennis elbow (my first purchase was Futuro Tennis Elbow Support (w / tension pad), One Size/ADJ, Black, 1 Support (Pack of 2)) Pros: Price, all foam (comfort), strong velcro, large air filled tendon pad. Cons: All foam- not very durable. After a week of wear, the foam is starting to come off in pieces. In short, I use this one for just casual wear around the house so as not to aggravate the tendon (I've even slept with it on). I use the Futuro band when I'm more active (actually playing tennis) or working in the yard. My optimal choice would be the Futuro band with this Air Cell tendon pad.

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK.TOO BAD THE TENNIS PROS AND TENNIS WRITERS HAVE APPARENTLY FAILED TO READ THIS.IF THEY HAD THEY WOULD STOP WRITING FICTION ABOUT TENNIS BALLS,STRING,AND RACQUETS.HOWEVER THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO;IE SALE PRODUCTS.

This book was very helpful for me in deciding on what I should look for in a tennis racquet that would best suit my style and level of play. It also helped my understanding of how tight vs loose stringing affects the ball rebound off the racquet. In fact, I found myself at home watching one of Rafa Nadal's matches where he was consistently overhitting his shots and I thought to myself, his strings might be too loose. Amazingly, within a minute or so of my thinking this, Rafa went over and got another racquet! The only downside for me was that I found myself skimming through certain parts of the book that were more technical and/or detailed than I liked. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to shop for a new tennis racquet or strings, and for those wanting a clearer understanding of HOW and WHY the physical properties of the racquet, strings, and court affect your shot-making.

I am a physicist and play some tennis. I think this book won't help your tennis much. I had the previous "physics and technology of tennis" by the same authors, and I felt this one is not an update of the previous book. It's more like a summary but the conclusion is for some reason different. For people who didn't read the big book, this book discusses the technical aspects of tennis and does not make much effort to connect these scientific facts to personal experiences and techniques. The advices which can be drawn from this book is surprisingly limited. Basically, choose a racquet you feel good when you are hitting the ball (instead of the air in a shop), and string doesn't really matter much. However, if you love tennis and is a noob in physics maybe this book can teach you something. To be on the critical side, some of the conclusions in the book looks suspicious and are drawn without evidence. It claimed the ideal racquet weighs ~350 grams and toward head heavy. I think for the balance it would be way too heavy. The reason provided in the book is vague and imprecise. It also states that different string materials can be simulated by different tension of the same material without any obvious reason. The biggest dissapointment of all, in the book it very often states that there is an obvious discrepancy between the physics they describe and how pro players claim or feel, and they take the view that the feel is subjective and can be explained away. This view isn't half bad if you can offer sound objective scientific advice on how to achieve certain things, but all that remains in the book seems more like scientific trivia to me, which are all small (but true) facts here and there, sometimes subtle, but are never quite connected to how you play.

Despite the title, there are no equations and the technical details are all descriptive, but there's lots of useful information. A great first book to read on technical aspects of tennis. If the title suggests you will find hard numbers and research-level information here, you might be disappointed. Otherwise it's really a great book with lots of practical physics- and engineering-based good advice on everything from racquets and balls to shots and serves, delivered at an almost non-technical level: think physics for poets!

Technical to a fault, but exacting. Provides interesting, sometimes counter-intuitive information, e.g., on how the tennis ball bounces, and how racquets really perform.

Open Court Open Court

It seems there are a lot of YA books lately with sports themes, but tennis isn't usually the sport of choice. Carol Clippinger's OPEN COURT presents the competitive and emotional pressures of tennis. Holloway "Hall" Braxton is just thirteen and is making her mark in the world of tennis. She has pretty much outgrown her competition in Colorado, so what is next? Both her coach and her parents think it's time to start looking at improving her world ranking, but Hall isn't sure she's ready. Competing in world class tournaments means moving on from her local coach and attending one of the private tennis academies her parents have been researching. It also means moving away from home. Hall's life is suddenly more complicated than ever. It's not just her tennis life that is changing. She and her best friend seem to be headed in different directions. Her doubles partner recently suffered a nervous breakdown and is currently living in a mental facility. And then there's Luke, the country club, private school heartthrob who is suddenly paying Hall a lot of attention. Every night Hall presses her ear to the heating vent between her room and the kitchen to hear her parents plot and plan her tennis future. Her father has his sights set on Bickford Tennis Academy in Florida. Her mother (Hall calls her The Weak Link) seems less sure about sending their only daughter off to swampy Florida and tennis torture. No one bothers asking Hall what she wants, and it's beginning to freak her out. For awhile Hall tries to lose herself in the world outside tennis. She hangs with her friends, especially handsome Luke and new friend, Polly. Amazed that someone as popular as Luke could be interested in her, Hall explores another side of her personality as she sneaks out for late night swims and make-out sessions. Her longtime friendship with best friend Eve is abandoned as she spends time with more rebellious Polly. But tennis continues to haunt Hall. Is it just a game or is it a much more important part of who she is? OPEN COURT reaches into the pressures of competitive tennis. The pressure to win, to please coaches and parents, the grueling hours of practice that interfere with friendships, and the powerful love of the game are all revealed in this fast-paced novel. Even those with little knowledge of the game of tennis will still appreciate the drive and determination that pushes and yet terrifies Hall. OPEN COURT is a worthwhile addition to any collection. well my friends said i was throwing in the upper 90's so i got this radar gun and i topped out at 104mph i guess thats pretty good

could not pick up a car heading straigh on,,, on a small plane from 200' or a baseball,,, sent the unit in to be fixed,, bot billed for fixing it,,, still doesn't work,,,, do not buy this product. I ended up using a hotwheels radar gun for $20...

Works great on baseballs & softballs. I used the digital speedometer in my car as a test of the gun's accuracy. The gun and my car always agreed to within 1 MPH. The case appears to be very durable - the front end of the gun is rubber armored. I am perfectly satisfied. Be sure to read the instructions to avoid erroneous readings.

Recently i purchased a Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun to test out it's accuracy. I have been in law enforcement since 1985 & i am certified in the use of radar.I read several reviews from customers on how they were dissatisfied beacause their radar gun did not work properly for one reason or another. My partners patrol car has a MPH radar & i decided to see just how accurate a Bushnell hand radar compared with it.I have 2 different speed tuning forks to test my MPH with & tested both of them on the Bushnell as well. The Bushnell tested accurate & gave the correct reading on both tuning forks i tested with.i then took it on the road & compared it against my partners MPH radar system against oncoming traffic & it worked as well matching vehicle speed with my MPH as well. Although i used it on traffic,it should work on any moving object such as baseball, softball, tennis balls etc.Just remember that these objects are of course much smaller than a vehicle & you must be in direct line of sight to the object to get a true & accurate reading of speed.I would reccomend this particular unit to anyone interested in purchasing one. Michael DeLano.CPSO,Auxilliary Deputy Sheriff

Having read the reviews, and realizing that they were somewhat mixed, I took a chance on this gun for my kid. The price was irresistible. After about 6 weeks, we're completely satisfied. You do need to read the instructions...mainly about the need to measure the ball as it's coming towards you. If you measure from the side, you will get the wrong (low) reading. I hold the gun in one hand and catch my son's pitches with the other. Works great...and extremely accurate. Or should I say that it's extremely CONSISTENT? Through exercise, practice and work on mechanics, my (just turned 12 year old) son has increased his measured velocity from around 50MPH to 54MPH, in one mile per hour increments as you'd expect. The gun rarely misses a reading (make sure you hold the trigger down for the whole pitch) and the resulting number is always close to what I would predict from observation. (In other words, the change up really does clock in about 5MPH slower than the fast ball. And, yes, when the fastball's popping, the gun's confirming the higher speeds.) Overall, I'm very satisfied. We only use the gun once every 6 or so practices, but at almost every one of those sessions, my son has hit a new personal best. That's super encouraging and motivating for both of us! I have read that the gun may read low vs. Juggs. Since we're not comparing to any "goal" number or any other gun, that doesn't really matter too much to us. The idea here isn't to end up with a big number we can brag about...it's to improve. In that respect the gun is well worth the $75 or so we paid for it!!!
